No prior experience is required. We provide all necessary training for new members, including Firefighter I, CPR/First Aid, and other certifications. A willingness to learn and commitment to the community is what matters most.
Time commitment varies, but we generally ask members to be available for at least one shift per week and attend regular training sessions (typically held weekly or bi-weekly). We understand that volunteers have other commitments and work with members to find schedules that work.
New members go through an onboarding and training program that covers firefighting basics, EMS, safety procedures, and department operations. We support members in obtaining certifications such as Firefighter I/II, EMT, HazMat Operations, and more. Ongoing continuing education is also provided.
